A Conversation with EOHLC Secretary Juana Matias

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join us for an exclusive conversation with Massachusetts Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, Juana Matias, as she provides an inside look at the Commonwealth's evolving housing agenda and the policies shaping the future of residential development.

With Massachusetts facing an urgent housing shortage and a statewide goal of creating 222,000 new housing units by 2035, the Healey-Driscoll Administration—working in partnership with the state legislature—has advanced a series of significant legislative and regulatory changes intended to accelerate housing production, streamline development, and increase housing opportunities across the Commonwealth.

Secretary Matias will discuss the latest policies and initiatives, offering insight into how these changes are expected to impact developers, municipalities, and communities throughout Massachusetts. Following her remarks, CREDA Massachusetts CEO Tamara Small will lead a moderated discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Space is limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.
